Post 9/11 GI Bill logo

Post-9/11 GI Bill庐 / Chapter 33

The Post-9/11 GI Bill庐 / Chapter 33 helps Veterans or Family to pay for some, or all, of the cost of school or training. Using the Post-9/11 GI Bill庐, the VA will pay the tuition directly to the school, and send the student a monthly housing stipend based on location, along with $500 per semester (Spring and Fall) to aid in book fees. Montgomery GI Bill庐 / Chapter 30

The Montgomery GI Bill庐 / Chapter 30 helps Veterans or Family cover some, or all, of the costs for school or training. Under the Montgomery GI Bill庐, the VA will pay the student directly, and the student must pay the school fees. Monthly payment depends on the eligibility of the student which can be found, along with eligibility criteria, on the VA鈥檚  website.

Montgomery GI Bill庐 鈥 Select Reserve / Chapter 1606

The Montgomery GI Bill庐 鈥 Selected Reserve (MGIB-SR, Chapter 1606) is an education program providing up to 36 months of education benefits to members of the Selected Reserve. This includes the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard Reserves as well as the Army National Guard and the Air National Guard.

Survivors鈥 and Dependents鈥 Educational Assistance Program / Chapter 35

If you鈥檙e a dependent spouse or child鈥攐r the surviving spouse or child鈥攐f a veteran, you may qualify for Chapter 35 benefits or job training through a GI Bill庐 program. You will find information on the VA  website.

VA Work-Study Program

The VA Work-Study Program is a great way to earn extra money while attending 橘子视频. Work-study students assist Military and Veteran Services staff in supporting active duty military, veterans and military family members as they navigate their educational journey. Individual Tutorial Assistance

The VA Tutorial Assistance program will help pay for a tutor if you need extra help with your coursework. Georgia Southern offers tutors through the Academic Success Center, however, if needed the VA will pay up to $100 per month for Tutorial Assistance for a private tutor. VA Veteran Readiness and Employment / Chapter 31

The VA Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) / Chapter 31 helps veterans with a service-connected disability. This program offers support and services to help you live and work as independently as possible. VR&E helps you find the best employment options and will address any education or training you need to complete your educational track.
